Spirent SimXona was developed in partnership with Xona Space Systems. Xona is developing PULSAR™, the first commercial positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) service built on a backbone of low Earth orbit (LEO) small satellites.
Xona’s patented high-powered smallsat signals will improve PNT resilience and accuracy by augmenting global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), while operating with an independent navigation and timing system architecture.
The first Xona satellite was launched into orbit in May 2022, and while Xona has an ambitious roll-out plan, the full constellation will take several years to deploy. SimXona is vital for integrators and developers who want to use Xona PULSAR signals now.
SimXona simulates the PULSAR constellation today—on its own or synchronous with other GNSS. SimXona seamlessly integrates with Spirent’s comprehensive PNT and threat simulation ecosystem.
Spirent’s sixth-generation simulation system, PNT X is an all-in-one solution with native implementation of SimXona.
