Dan Bader
Chairman of the Board and Proxy
Dan Bader has over 12 years of experience in the defense industry providing products and services worldwide. He’s held senior positions in Business Development, Operations, and Security, and has served as a Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Prior to his civilian career, Mr. Bader served with distinction in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard (ANG). He has 27 years of military experience in flight operations, and executive positions in Safety, Acquisitions, Requirements, Domestic Operations and Flight Test. Dan has an undergraduate degree in Astronautical Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Masters of Science degree in Aero Science Technology from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Today, Dan resides in McLean, VA, near Washington DC with his family and is an avid sailor and outdoor enthusiast.
Chris Emerson
Director and Proxy
Chris Emerson is the former Chairman & CEO of Airbus US Space and Defense, Inc. Previously he was President of Airbus Helicopters, Inc. since 2015. Previously, Chris was Head of Airbus Future Programs & Product Strategy, a position he held from 2010 to 2013. In 2003, Chris was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer charged with helping the newly formed executive team establish Airbus North America. Working closely with the executive team, he was responsible for preparing Airbus for executing U.S. Department of Defense contracts. Chris started his career in 1996 with Mercedes Benz U.S. International (MBUSI) in Alabama. In early 2000, he joined DaimlerChrysler Aerospace (DASA) in Germany and was part of the internal team that formed – through a simultaneous IPO and merger of three national entities — EADS (today Airbus Group). Chris graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in International Finance and currently serves on the President’s Cabinet. He is married and has two daughters.
Herbert Lee Buchanan, Ph.D.

Dr. Buchanan has had a significant career with the U.S. Government beginning with service as a U.S. Naval aviator. After attaining a Ph.D. degree from the University of California, he began a 13-year service at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the central research and development agency of the Department of Defense. Dr. Buchanan then became the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Research, Development, and Acquisition), the most senior executive for research, development, and acquisition for the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps. Leaving the government for the private sector, Dr. Buchanan has held senior leadership positions in several corporations and is currently President, CEO, and Chairman of HYPRES, a tech development company specializing in digital superconducting electronics. Dr. Buchanan’s education also includes B.S. and M.S. Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. He is married, has two children, is an instrument-rated pilot, avid snow skier, and scuba diver.
